Pistacia weinmannifolia is a rare, threatened plant endemic to southwestern China and northern Myanmar and has a variety of economic uses. Its leaves are commonly used as traditional Chinese medicine by herbalists, and studies have found antioxidants present in the leaves. Their leaves are intensely bright green and leathery. It grows fairly short, thus suitable as a bonsai.
