Phyllanthus pulcher, the tropical leaf-flower, is a species in the genus Phyllanthus. Phyllanthus pulcher is known commonly as a weed. Its leaves fold closed at night. It can grow from 50 - 150cm tall. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine. It is often cultivated for ornamental purposes in the tropics, valued especially for its floral display.
