Mini Leca is a ceramic, mineral-based substrate made from expanded clay heated at high temperatures in a rotary kiln. It is widely used in hydroponics for its excellent root aeration properties.

This versatile substrate can be mixed into soil to improve drainage or placed at the bottom of pots as a lightweight filler. It can also be spread on top of soil to reduce moisture loss and evaporation. Being non-organic and sterile, Mini Leca helps reduce pests and is ideal for tropical houseplants.
