Allium tuberosum is commonly known as garlic chives or Chinese leek. Also commonly called Chinese chives because the plant is grown extensively in China for culinary purposes. It is a species of onion native to southwestern parts of the Chinese province of Shanxi. The leaves, flowers/flower buds, and bulbs can be eaten raw or cooked. The juice of the plant is used as a moth repellent.

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
