Gardenia tubifera, also called golden gardenia, is a species of flowering small tree in the genus Gardenia, native to Asia. It is a small tree, growing to a height of 2–4 m high with a spread of 1–2 m. Its flowers are white to pale yellow, but finally turning to intense orange. For a tropical climate, it may be of the best-looking shrub we can grow. The shiny dark green leaves contrast greatly with the deep golden flowers that fill the air with its fragrant perfume.
