Bougainvillaea is also known as the 'paper flower' because the bracts are thin and papery. The fruit is a narrow five-lobed achene. It is a thorny ornamental plant with waxy flowers. Its flowers are small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with the bright colours associated with the plant, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow.

Sunlight: Full Sun 

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or solid fertiliser over the soil.

Plant size: Approx. 70-80cm (vary in sizes)
