Pandanus amaryllifolius which is commonly known as pandan or fragrant pandan is a tropical plant in the Pandanus genus. It is an evergreen tree with fragrantly-scented leaves. It has fragrant leaves which are used widely for flavouring in the cuisines. The fragrant young leaves are cooked and eaten.
