Calathea Plants are tropical plants, often have grown as houseplants for their beautiful, brightly coloured, upright and oval leaves. There are over 300 different types of Calathea Plants, many being hybrids created by tissue cultures.This plant is a table plant or short bush that rarely gets bigger than 60cm tall and wide. 'Dottie' is unusual because the oval dark green, almost black, leaves have pink-purple drawings or veins on the leaf surface.

*Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
*Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or soild fertiliser over the soil.
