Euphorbia acrurensis, commonly known as Desert Candle or Cowboy Cactus, is a striking architectural succulent native to Southern and Western Africa. Despite its cactus-like appearance, it belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family and is characterized by tall, upright, waxy green stems that branch in a chandelier-like form.
Its sculptural growth habit makes it a highly popular choice for modern landscapes and minimalist garden designs. The stems are ribbed and often form multiple arms, creating a dramatic vertical presence in any space. This species is extremely drought tolerant and thrives in hot, sunny conditions with very little maintenance.
Ideal as a statement plant, Euphorbia acrurensis is widely used in xeriscaping, succulent gardens, and large decorative containers for both indoor and outdoor settings.
