Euphorbia neriifolia, commonly known as Indian Spurge Tree, is a distinctive succulent shrub or small tree valued for its upright, branching structure and thick, fleshy stems. Native to the Indian subcontinent, it is widely cultivated as an ornamental and medicinal plant.
The plant features segmented, cylindrical to slightly angled stems with small spines along the ridges. Its leaves are short-lived and typically appear at the tips of young growth. As the plant matures, it develops a bold, sculptural form that makes it highly suitable for architectural landscaping and drought-tolerant gardens.
This species is extremely hardy, thrives in hot, sunny conditions, and requires very little maintenance once established, making it ideal for xeriscaping and large feature planting.
