Elephantopus scaber is a tropical species belonging to the sunflower family. Native to tropical Africa, Eastern Asia, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and northern Australia. The plant is widely used in folk medicine to treat nephritis, edema, dampness, chest pain, fever and bladder stones. Roots are used to prevent vomiting, while leaves are used to treat eczema and ulcers.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
