Phyllostachys anugusta, commonly called Stone Bamboo, is an evergreen Bamboo growing to 5 m at a medium rate. The culms are dark green and tightly spaced together. It is extremely hardy in colder climates and one of the first species of the Phyllostachys genus to shoot in the spring. It is in leaf all year. The edible shoots emerge a cream color with black spots that fall away to reveal almost perfectly straight light olive green culms.

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
