Ruellia Simplex 'Katie' is a wonderful as a border plant. The prolific pale pink blooms last one day and contrast nicely with the dark green foliage. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. The plant could not set from seed that is dividing from the rootball and herbaceous stem cuttings.

Water: Water when the soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
