Thunbergia erecta is a herbaceous perennial climbing plant species in the genus Thunbergia native to western Africa. Common names include bush clockvine, king's-mantle and potato bush. It has attractive, small, dark green leaves and tubular flowers which in the most common form are rich purple with a yellow throat, there is also a white-flowering form, which seems to have smaller leaves and is somewhat less robust . Perfect for planting around patios, foundations or among border plantings. The dense foliage makes a great low hedge row.

Water: Water often as necessary to keep the mixture thoroughly moist and water on alternate days, but never allow the pot to stand in water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling solid fertiliser over the soil.
