Cultural Significance:
In Hinduism and Buddhism, the bael tree is sacred. In Nepal, for instance, the bael fruit plays a central role in the Bel Bibaaha fertility ritual among the Newar community.
Cultivation:
Bael trees thrive in various soil types, from acidic to alkaline, and are tolerant of waterlogging. They prefer full sunlight and require a pronounced dry season to fruit effectively. The tree is hardy in USDA zones 10–12 and is frost-tender.

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or soild fertiliser over the soil.
