Jatropha podagrica (Gout Stalk or Buddha belly) is a very remarkable small erect succulent or sub-woody shrub with a singularly distorted stem and branches much swollen at their bases, giving it the common name. The trunk has long stems coming off it with either lobed leaves or coral shaped flowers on them. The plant flowers continuously and is resistant to drought and direct sunlight.

 

Sunlight: Semi-Shade, Full Sun

Water: Water when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water.

Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or soild fertiliser over the soil.

Plant size: approx. 30cm (vary in sizes) 

Rootball size: 15cmØ x 13cmH

Pot type: Plant comes in a brown plastic landscape pot (with drainage holes)
