Duranta erecta is a species of woody and flowering shrub in the verbena family Verbenaceae, native from Mexico to South America and the Caribbean. The flowers are light-blue or lavender, produced in tight clusters located on the terminal and axillary stems. A show-stopping display of flowers and fruit all summer long. Perfect for planting around patios, foundations, or among border plantings.
